Our story 

Our well-known Czech online store, Celostní komunikace, was established in the United States, despite both of us originally being from the Czech Republic. How did this happen? In 2016, we met in California and began creating the first images and materials inspired by the captivating illustrations and graphics found in American children's books, flashcards and worksheets.

What a wonderful coincidence.

I am a well-known Czech clinical speech therapist, and Veronika is a talented graphic designer. Both of us, mothers on maternity leave at the time and living abroad, were seeking a way to express and entertain ourselves. We channeled our talents to assist children in developing their speech easily and naturally through interactive play with images in various ways.

Veronika honed her skills in graphic design to create original drawings easily recognizable and nameable by children. Meanwhile, I focused on devising new ideas and aids that would help children enhance their communication, visual perception, auditory perception, and fine motor skills. Drawing from my fifteen years of therapeutic experience, I identified the gaps in the market and the needs of children that we could address.

We successfully launched an online store in the Czech Republic that is cherished by parents, therapists, and educators who are always eager to see the new ideas we introduce and send us beautifull reviews. Over the years, the idea of expanding into the USA started taking shape in my mind, and this year we made the decision to pursue it. We are thrilled to present these beautiful cards to you and your child.

Our mission

Our primary goal is for children to have fun. Children learn through play, experiences, and their senses—touch, sound, and vision — especially because the right hemisphere of the brain develops the most in the early years. Children observe and absorb the world through their eyes, remembering details of every object. By connecting images and sounds with objects, we help children develop their first words to communicate with others.

It's a beautiful experience when a child points at a barking dog and says "doggie." It brings a smile to everyone. And our world needs more smiles.

Our mission is to facilitate children's connection with the world, nature, and themselves. Likewise, we aim to support mothers in communicating with and forming lovely attachments with their children through play. I have fond memories of spending a lot of time with my bilingual Czech-American children, talking and reading. It was immensely enjoyable, and it's a pleasure to pass on these beautiful memories to the next generation through our work.
